When the Gaggia Velasca arrived in our office, we were struck by its looks. The matte-black plastic housing and the curved design that Gaggia is known for combine for a chic espresso machine like no other. The Velasca delivers espressos and espresso lungos at the press of a button, both of which are adjustable in terms of strength to ensure a perfect result in the cup every time. The ceramic burr grinder can be dialed in across ten settings, or avoided entirely by way of the bypass doser. Gaggia’s specially designed pannarello wand aerates the milk in your pitcher for you, so that you can focus on the delicious drink to come. Simply press the steam button and wait half a minute for the machine to get to temp after brewing.
The automatic rinse cycle and Gaggia's removable brew unit make cleaning and maintaining the Velasca easier than ever. Pull out the brew unit for a quick rinse in your sink to keep your coffee tasting fresh and your machine functioning properly. For descaling, simply program your water hardness into the machine and the Velasca will alert you when it's time to run a descaling cycle. When not in use for an extended period of time, the machine will enter into a low energy standby mode to preserve power. This machine has class.
